The “discovery question” teaching strategy requires students to read the text and acquaints them with some of the skills in evaluating written material within a classroom-discussion framework. Each question is structured around a specific and limited reading assignment. Since reading for understanding is a problem for students, I assign reading in small chunks on a class-by-class basis instead of assigning a chapter at a time.
